Review of the film "Last Best Chance"

Nuclear weapons, especially in the hands of terrorists, represents the greatest danger facing mankind today. It is a menace that rivals all threats facing us today including global climate change. Last Best Chance, produced by an organization called Nuclear Threat Initiative (NTI), presents a vivid and compelling case of why nuclear proliferation needs to be America's number one priority.

Starring Law & Order actor and would-be 2008 presidential candidate Sen. Fred D. Thompson, Last Best Chance chronicles a potential, even plausible, scenario of how nuclear material could pass from a legitimate nuclear power to rogue terrorists. Ultimately the film shows how this material could be smuggled to the United States and used against an American city. Thompson has been an outspoken critic of Washington's lack of resolve to secure this grave threat to our national security. The film ends with a thought-provoking epilogue moderated by Tom Brokaw.

The film on DVD may be ordered free of charge from NTI at www.lastbestchance.org
